As a nine year old John Gollings fell in love with the photographic process, both the technology and the chemistry, but he’s never stopped learning. His composition was always intuitive but mathematically rigorous and his eye was always quick to freeze the moment.

He has selected a series of images that have stayed with him as fundamental examples of his enthusiasm to photograph any situation. It’s often the act of photography itself, not the topic, that engages and challenges him.
